Vintage Guitar

Some people buy and sell their guitars with great frequency. I have had a number of different ones over the years. However, one that I will never part with is my Martin 00028. I bought this guitar at Christmas 1976 and it has travelled the world with me over these last 40 years. It sounds better now, than when I first purchased it and is like an old friend. It has to be treated right - it does not like being thrashed!

I have a couple of regrets though. One, is that I traded in a beautiful Gibson J-45 in order to buy the Martin. Wish I had kept hold of it. Another, is that I threw away the original blue Martin case that came with my 00028. I should have kept it, even though it was pretty much beaten up, after all my travels.

What is the oldest guitar you have in your possession?
